You can equip features like the multi-flex tailgate to add versatility to the truck bed and make getting gear and equipment in and out a simpler process. New to the lineup is the ZR2, which is equipped with steel front and rear bumpers for added durability and has underbody aluminum skid plates to protect essential equipment. A raised roof adds a unique look to the Silverado 1500 and has trim-exclusive wheel flares and other styling options to help it stand apart from the other models.

2022 CHEVROLET PERFORMANCE

The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado is powered by a 2.7-litre four-cylinder turbocharged engine, generating 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. An available 3.0-litre six-cylinder turbodiesel engine provides 355 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque. There are also two available V8 engines: a 5.3-litre generating 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque and a 6.2-litre producing 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a standard eight-speed transmission. There is also an available 10-speed transmission for higher trims to improve fuel economy and reduce shift losses. The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado has standard rear-wheel drive and an available four-wheel-drive system. The truck has an immense towing capacity ranging between 8,900 pounds and 11,000 pounds. Its maximum payload ranges between 1,440 pounds and 2,270 pounds. A Multimatic DSSV damper, off-road cut front bumper and front and rear electronic locking differentials give the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado superior off-roading capabilities.
